TFY: CH 8 VIEWPOINT
A viewpoint is your point of view, attitude, bias, perspective, frame of reference, or opinion of something. Like assumptions, opinions and evaluations, viewpoints can be either conscious or unconscious. In literature, the point of view of a story is shown through crucial elements like plot, theme and characters. You use left and right to help recognize viewpoints in political, social, economical, and religious values. Hidden viewpoints are found in the use of news framing. When news framing editors use layout design to sensationalize, downplay, exaggerate, or convey importance.
